REVISIT

I will revisit with the wind
the blown froth upon the shore
on the lonely nights
when the fishermen stand
knee deep in the surf
where ocean meets land
and the great waves roar.

I will revisit with the moon
the sand dunes blown
in the wind like a plume,
like a mist, like a spray,
blown sand in the grass
in white moonlight strewn.

 Here the fishermen stand
and pull in the lines
where the silver fish leap,
where the silver fish leap
through surf to the sand
and then leap no more.
