TIGER

Kemiri,
beautiful one,
I wait where
striped ink grass shadows
slide into amber pools
reflecting clouds.

Kemiri,
who is the breeze flowing
through grass stems,
dozes in the hot sun.

Kemiri,
liquid as ink running
through shadows
into amber pools
drowning in clouds.

Kemiri,
when you prowl,
even the wind pauses.
