VOYAGE

 Irresistibly caught in the upsurge
we fly dreaming of blue,
with the torrent of the wave.
Beyond the foam gulls call.

 We fly dreaming of blue
into a cloud filled sky.
Beyond the foam gulls call,
raucous voices assail eardrums.

 Into a cloud filled sky
the plane thunders over the ocean.
Raucous voices assail eardrums.
Teacups rattle on metal trolleys.

 The plane thunders over the ocean;
the sky is held behind small windows.
Teacups rattle on metal trolleys.
“Fasten your seatbelts” the sign flicks on.

 The sky is held behind small windows;
we are caught in the last beam of sunlight.
“Fasten your seatbelts” the sign flicks on.
Our hearts are held in wind and water.

 We are caught in the last beam of sunlight
with the torrent of the wave.
Our hearts are held in wind and water,
irresistibly caught in the upsurge.
