I am writing a book of speculative fiction. This started as a short story with an inconclusive ending. It looked as if the hero would be terminated at the end of the story. But I wondered what would happen if?

And started to find out.

In a future Earth devastated by climate change, a biobot faces a heart-wrenching dilemma: fearing his beloved cat and dog biobot pets will be recycled, he flees from the friend he had created. Along the way, he discovers a shocking truth—his own friend has devised a scheme threatening all biobots.

To stop this threat, the biobot gathers companions, each with unique abilities and quirks, to confront the enemy. Together, they face themes of loyalty, sacrifice, and find the true meaning of friendship. Can they defeat the threat to save their kind?
